Michael James Furniture was founded by two brothers whose family has been in the furniture industry for over 26 years. From their early years the two brothers have been surrounded by high end furniture and learned to appreciate the art of manufacturing furniture for the interior design trade. They seek to provide the design industry with fine furniture comprised of fresh designs and quality craftsmanship. Their designs seek to capture the best elements of classical furniture and blend those elements with a modern interpretation. Michael James is proud to offer hand made and hand finished furniture that is constructed from the best materials available in the market today. The metal line is designed, manufactured and finished in Castle Rock, Colorado. Likewise, the wood line is designed, manufactured and finished near Annapolis, Maryland. These locations allow for customization of both finishes as well as the size and scope of the pieces. Michael James continues to produce new designs of furniture as well as developing new finishes to offer a greater variety of choices for our designers. Michael James wood line is constructed from mainly solid wood and solid wood veneers to offer quality craftsmanship that will last a lifetime. These pieces are hand made by skilled craftsman which allows for each piece customized and made to the specifications of the designer. The wood line offers hand rubbed lacquer finishes showcasing the beauty of the wood in over 20 different stains and colors. Michael James Furniture manufactures unique and quality handcrafted iron tables sold exclusively to the trade. Each piece is handmade and hand finished in our Colorado studio. Because our metal designs are hand crafted and hand finished no two pieces are exactly the same. Each table, mirror, firescreen and floor lamp have unique one of a kind appeal. With over forty finishes which are applied in several steps our designs have a rich depth on every piece we ship from our studio. Just about every design can be customized to meet your specifications.
